The Diamond Head Walk is steep. However, it is also manageable enough that the entire family can do it and there are enough switchbacks to make the whole experience much easier. You should also expect to be done with it in about 90 minutes.
There are about 900 steps to the walk to have all the fun you can. If you don’t want to do it by yourself, you can consider doing it as part of a guided tour.

2. Take a Road Trip Around Oahu

Rather than spend all your days at Waikiki Beach, as breathtaking and enjoyable as it is, why not spend your time driving around the island? It’s a terrific w

3. Snorkeling at Hanauma Bay

This is another popular thing to do while in Oahu. The Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve is an excellent place to go snorkeling. It is about half an hour east of Waikiki and was once a volcanic crater. Now, it is home to lively reefs in clear blue waters where plenty of colorful fish live.
Snorkeling is an out of this world experience as chances are, you are not used to being surrounded by so many peaceful fish.

4. Take a Tour of Pearl Harbor

On December 7th 1941, Japan launched one of the first attacks on U.S soil. Scores of fighter planes terrorized the skies of Pearl Harbor dropping devastating bombs and eradicating the ships in the harbor. This is going to be a fantastic educational experience for your kids and also for you if you’re a history buff. It’s a breathtaking memorial with a museum on the grounds. You can also visit the Arizona Memorial by boat. During the terrifying bombardment of Pearl Harbor, this was the main ship that was sunk and happens to be the final resting place of 1,102 sailors and marines.
There’s a stark difference between celebrations and commemorations. This is a site to commemorate the bravery and valor of those who lives were lost during the Pearl Habor attack. It’s a unique place filled with surging emotions and truly a unique and amazing experience.

5. Go to Waikiki Beach

Chances are that when you think of Hawaiin beaches, you think of Waikiki beach. This is a famous beach with the main section sitting in front of The Royal Hawaiian Hotel.
