Ready to Pop: Baby Shower Snacks

Planning the perfect baby shower can be a bit overwhelming at times, but that doesn’t mean you still can’t have fun! You have the opportunity to create a unique and wonderful experience for you and your friends, and I know you can do it! This is a day to remember: try not to worry about the little things, and know that it will all come together.
With a baby shower, there are quite a few things to plan: the invitations, the decorations, the games, the party favors, and of course, the food! The reason it can become a little much to handle is by not picking out a good and concrete baby showertheme.  By first picking out the theme, everything will fall into place.
I have a unique and fun theme for you to choose—especially when creating your shower menu snacks! It’s simple, it’s fast, and it’s adorable: all the things you want when creating that baby shower, and saving long lasting memories. The theme: “Ready to Pop!” can get you started on a roll of great ideas, and I hope I can help you along the way.

Ready to Pop Snack Ideas

There are so many cute things you can do with this idea, which is why it’s easily one of my favorites. Not only that, but they are simple recipes, and a fast prep time—one less thing to worry about!

Try and think of food items that “pop”. A great example can be Rice Krispy treats!  With these, create the treats like you would normally. After baking, squish them into small balls (while they are still semi warm; that way, it’s easier to form them into this shape), and place them on an end of a stick. For extra fun, have little bowls set out with dipping’s: think chocolate, caramel, strawberry jam—whatever you think is delicious! You can also set out toppings like sprinkles, or crushed candy pieces. This can give your guests the option of creating their own desert, and they’ll love it.
A quick and easy snack to create can be popcorn! You can also dye the color of the popcorn to whatever gender color you’d like—it’s that easy, and incredibly cute. Just pop the popcorn like normal. Add sugar, half and half, corn syrup and salt into a pan, and cook over medium heat, until the sugar has dissolved. Remove from heat, and add vanilla extract, and whatever food coloring of your choice into the mix. Drizzle over the popcorn; mix it up, and voila! Another cute and simple way to present another “pop” snack.
Another fast and simple (but cute!) snack to make can be marshmallow pop rocks on a stick! Just take marshmallows and place them on an end of a stick. Melt any kind of coating you’d like (chocolate, white chocolate) and dip the end of the marshmallow into the coating of your choice. Immediately dip the marshmallow again into a bowl of Pop Rock candy (you can also pick the color of your choice for the gender!) and there you go! Another “pop” of a snack!
With this baby shower theme in mind, there are a bunch of different and cute things you can do to surprise your guests. These simple and adorable ideas can get your mind going—and can hopefully make you feel a little bit better about the preparation. Enjoy your special day!
